Rafał Bojdys

Bielsko-Biała 1967

Bojdys studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Crakow and at the Faculty of Graphic Arts in Katowice, where he completed his studies in the project studio of Tomasz Jury and the painting studio of A.S. Kowalski. He later participated in numerous solo exhibitions in Mannheim, Essen, Warsaw, Oświęcim, and Krakow, as well as in over 40 group exhibitions.

His subjects initially appear trivial: They mostly depict people in their leisure activities, such as motorsports, winter sports, athletics, or music, but pets also find their way into his paintings. His execution is always playful and humorous, and his works, combined with their subtle and ironic titles, always radiate cheerfulness and optimism.
