Henryk Płóciennik

Henryk Płóciennik was a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP) since 1962 and worked in the genres of printmaking (including bookplates), drawing, and painting. His works have been exhibited in Belgium, France, Spain, Japan, Canada, Mexico, the USA, and Cuba, among others. His works are also included in the collections of the National Museums in Warsaw, Kraków, and Poznań, as well as the Art Museum in Łódź. He has received over 40 prizes and awards at exhibitions and art competitions.

Płóciennik’s individual style is shaped by many influences: Initially inspired by the art of the interwar period, particularly Constructivism, Cubism, and the abstraction of that period, his personal style later developed toward Dadaism and Surrealism. His work includes paintings composed of geometric forms, female nudes, linocuts, lithographs, etchings, and monotypes.
