After graduating from the Faculty of Chemistry at the Warsaw University of Technology in 1956, Leszek Nowosielski turned to ceramics, initially painting overglaze decorations on porcelain. Later, he specialized in figurative compositions using low-relief ceramic tiles (panels). He also created abstract decorations, often using the porcelain painting technique. The themes of some of his works are linked to Polish history, including the Battle of Grunwaldzki, the Katyn Massacre, the Warsaw Uprising, and the martyrdom in Auschwitz.
His works are known for their vibrant coloration. Noteworthy are his hand-crafted three-dimensional figures, which are unique in their form. Works by Leszek Nowosielski can be found in the collections of the National Museums in Warsaw, Wrocław, and Gdańsk, as well as in the Mazovian Museum in Płock and the Archaeological Museum in Warsaw.
